The First Tee of Troup County Learning Center is located behind the Troup County Parks and Recreation Center at 1220 LaFayette Parkway. You will see signs as soon as you pull into the Recreation Center on the left.
Each lesson consists of a life skill and a golf skill. They meet once a week for six weeks. Registration is held at the Troup County Parks and Recreation Center four times a year: Fall, Winter, Spring, and Summer.
The First Tee of Troup County is completely free of charge to all participants.
The First Tee of Troup County is open to any child from 8-18 years of age. There are three core levels of The First Tee Life Skills Experience: Par, Birdie, and Eagle.
Par level focuses on fundamental communication and self management skills.
Birdie level focuses on identifying personal goals and ways to reach these goals.
Eagle level focuses on group and community interaction. Participants learn to deal more effectively with others so they can become good citizens and exert a positive influence both at The First Tee and in their communities.
